Topic: A World Health Day Conversation with Dr. Margaret Hamburg, Global Health Leader and Innovator

​

Objectives: 

1. Describe what the Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI’s) is and how it is preparing the global public health community for future epidemics and pandemics.

2. Identify ways to achieve greater equity in vaccine distribution not just for COVID-19 but also for other childhood illnesses.

3. Discuss the major public health concerns arising from the large migration of refugees during a war or natural disaster such as occurring now in eastern Europe and what infrastructures can best address those concerns.

2. Discuss how structural bias, social inequities and racism undermine health and create challenges to achieving health equity at organizational, community and societal levels

3. Apply awareness of cultural values and practices to the design or implementation of public health policies or programs
